Teeth!
Thijs' teeth have finally broken through! Check out those pearly
whites...
He's also able to pull himself up in the crib or using furniture.
Throughout February: Food
Biscuits and especially bread are his favorite foods this month.
He's also learned to operate a sippy cup and to drink from a normal glass bottle
(with a bit of help from Mom or Dad):
Playing:
It's getting to be time to replace some of our toys The gym and the
exersaucer don't really hold Thijs' interest any more. His books,
and the octopus (those brightly colored rings are from an octopus) are just
great, though! It's also great fun just to practice standing up and
cruise around the crib.
New Stroller:
We got a new stroller this month, too. This one is lighter and folds
up smaller than the other one but it's a bit more difficult to control.
Thijs prefers the old one, but he'll sleep in the new one if he's tired enough.
The Blue Hat:
The blue hat is really cute (especially with the matching booties), but it won't
fit much longer.
9 February 2002: Mike's Visit
Thea's relative Mike came to visit for a day. We went to Wagamama
for dinner and somehow managed to eat and escape before Thijs tore the place
apart. He's like a little bulldozer when he sees something he wants.
10 February 2002: Begijnhof
The weather was beautiful (though cold), so we went for a walk to the
Begijnhof. The snowdrops were blooming and the courtyard was beautiful and
peaceful. The choir was practicing in the church, so you could hear
the faint strains from the organ and the singers.
